I show sober women how to build the confidence they need to pursue their desires beyond recovery.
Natural wellness is the idea of an individual living a healthy lifestyle without the dependence on allopathic drugs or what we know as modern medicine. Natural wellness refers to harnessing the full potential of natural resources to lead a fulfilling life while at the same time keeping disease and illness at bay. If you prefer to listen to your content, I shared this message in the Confident Sober Women Facebook group.
Now before you shake your head or roll your eyes or start prepping your speech in support of a certain medicine or intervention, stay with me for a minute. This is the definition of natural wellness, however, what we are doing is learning about and adopting parts of this concept for many areas in your life, while at the same time also utilizing modern medicine if you choose.
I am not saying at all that you shouldn’t take medicine, that there isn’t a need for them or other medical interventions. In fact many times, modern medicine in conjunction with the resources of natural wellness creates an incredible solution.
What I do want you to do is open your mind to the possibilities that are available to you for your physical and mental health that you either might not know about or haven’t tried. This concept of natural wellness isn’t new.
In fact, when you were younger and your parents told you to eat your vegetables or drink 8 glasses of water a day, those were natural wellness concepts that have been proven time and time again to contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
However, the way most of us run our lives today it is difficult to achieve optimum levels of health because of stress caused by our workplaces, our families, as well as pollution of our air and water. In fact most doctors today will tell you that stress is the contributing factor to almost all chronic illnesses. This means in order to live a healthy life that is mostly free from illness it is easier to make specific and intentional changes to your diet and lifestyle.
In other words, we aren’t just healing symptoms but rather focusing on the whole body and finding solutions in natural resources. Nature offers incredible healing secrets for our bodies its just that most of us don’t know about them or how to use them.
Again people have been relying on nature to heal for centuries before modern medicine even came to be. These resources are often very simple, budget friendly and benefit all of the systems in the body not one specific symptom. Medications can be quite expensive and they often contain ingredients that are unhealthy like food coloring, gelatin and preservatives. And they obviously come from pharmaceutical companies which are designed to make profits therefore making it hard to always trust their motives.
Again I am not suggesting that we don’t use any medications or that many people don’t benefit from them. Not at all, I am simply providing some additional resources to consider to support your health.
To recap natural wellness is the concept of utilizing resources created in nature to heal the body and mind. Whether you are treating a cold, headache, skin irritations, gut issues or anything in between, natural treatments involve healing on a deeper level and help your body function at its optimal performance. And you are doing it with extremely low risk of side effects using straight forward ingredients that are sustainable.
Very often medical interventions are focused on brief and immediate solutions to our health challenges and does not address the core issues and natural changes that support positive mental and physical wellness.
